Service Description
Prep & Protect: We provide professional furniture relocation to ensure a completely clear workspace for a flawless floor installation. Expert Handling: Our team is trained to safely move, pad-wrap, and stage heavy items—such as sofas, tables, and dressers—into adjacent rooms or garages to avoid damage. Efficiency: Moving furniture ourselves allows us to work faster, ensuring your project stays on schedule and your home is restored as quickly as possible. Full Service: Once the new flooring is set and cured, we carefully return every piece to its original location, applying protective felt pads to legs to keep your new floors scratch-free. Note to Clients: Please remove all "breakables," electronics, and personal items from cabinets or closets prior to our arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Business Policy & Service Agreement The Badge Workshop Owner: Alex Sanchez I. Scope of Services & Licensing Disclaimer The Badge Workshop operates as a professional handyman and woodworking service. In compliance with Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) statutes, we are a non-contractor handyman service. We are not a licensed General Contractor, Electrician, or Plumber. Our services are strictly limited to "casual, minor, or inconsequential" repairs and custom woodworking. This includes furniture assembly, trim work, painting, minor drywall patching, flooring, and custom wood fabrication. Prohibited Work: We do not perform work requiring a building permit or specialized licensure, including but not limited to: Structural changes, Major electrical or plumbing work, HVAC installation or repair, and roofing. Project Limits: In accordance with Florida's "handyman exemption," individual repair projects generally do not exceed $2,500 unless they involve furniture/goods fabrication rather than real property improvement. II. Wood Characteristics: Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with humidity. Minor variations in grain, color, and texture are not defects. We are not liable for warping or cracking caused by extreme humidity changes in the Client's home. III. Estimates & Payment Terms All estimates are valid for 15 days. Unforeseen issues (e.g., rot behind drywall) may trigger a "Change Order" with adjusted pricing. Payment Schedule: Payment is due in full upon completion of work. Accepted Methods: Cash, Credit Card, Buy Now Pay Later, or Digital Transfer. (Transaction fees may apply. Late Fees: Invoices unpaid after 15 days incur a late fee of 5% or the maximum allowed by Florida law. IV. Warranty & Liability We provide a 90-day warranty on all labor/installation. If our workmanship fails within this period, we will repair it at no cost. Materials and hardware are covered solely by the manufacturer's warranty. The Badge Workshop does not guarantee the longevity of third-party products. V. Cancellation & Access Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a handyman visit. Failure to do so may result in a $50 cancellation fee. The Client agrees to provide clear access to the work area and secure all pets.
